NEW!
Fossil Q Smartwatches at Target
Store: Target
Discount: Extra 15% off EXPIRED
Shipping: Free shipping
Expiration: November 28

Grab a sleek Fossil Q Smartwatch for an extra 15% off today only. (Select models are discounted, and prices drop in cart.) Between these savings and the free shipping all orders receive, this deal results in prices that beat a number of previous Editors’ Choice deals. A couple of best bets:

Amazon Echo Show
Store: Target
Price: $152.99 in cart EXPIRED
Shipping: Free shipping
Lowest By: $44
Expiration: November 28

Grab the Amazon Echo Show for only $153 today, at the lowest price we’ve ever seen. Many retailers have been charging $180 for this home assistant device recently for Black Friday sales (its retail price is $230), so this is an exceptional deal on a piece of tech Amazon just released earlier this year. The most notable feature is a new 7″ touchscreen, which can be used for video playback. Normal Echo voice commands are also now enhanced with visuals. Other features include a 5-megapixel camera, dual 2″ stereo speakers, far field voice recognition, and Bluetooth.

Samsung SmartThings Hub
Store: Dell Small Business
Price: $49.99
Shipping: Free shipping
Lowest By: $50

At half the price that other stores are charging, this is one of the best home automation deals we’ve seen. It’s also at the lowest price we’ve seen. This hub allows you to connect all of your smart locks, lights, outlets, and thermostats and control them with your smartphone via the free SmartThings app. It’s compatible with iOS, Android, and Windows Phone.

Roku 4K Streaming Stick+ with DirecTV Now
Store: Target
Price: $42.49 in cart EXPIRED
Shipping: In-store pickup
Lowest By: $6
Expiration: November 28

Ready to cut the cable cord? Teaming this Roku device with a 1-Month DirecTV Now trial is a great way to do it. Better yet, this deal is not only better than the Black Friday price we saw last week, but the best deal we’ve seen. This 2017 model features 4K streaming with HDR, 802.11ac dual-ban wireless, and voice remote.

Nest Learning Thermostat
Store: Target
Price: $169.15 in cart EXPIRED
Shipping: In-store pickup
Lowest By: $30
Expiration: November 27

If you’re looking to cut heating costs this winter, this Nest thermostat is a good way to do it. This thermostat “learns” how you set your home’s temperature, downloads data, and can be controlled from your smartphone via WiFi. Even better, this deal is a one-day $5 drop and at the lowest price we’ve seen.

2nd-Gen Amazon Fire TV Stick with Alexa Remote
Store: Target
Price: $21.24 in cart EXPIRED
Shipping: In-store pickup
Lowest By: $4
Expiration: November 27

Another option for turning your TV into a Smart TV and cutting the cable cord, this streaming stick also has voice control via Alexa. Better yet, this deal beats last week’s Black Friday price and is at the best price we’ve seen. It features a MediaTek 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage, 802.11ac wireless, Bluetooth 4.1, voice control via Amazon Alexa, and one HDMI output.

Amazon Had Another Record-Breaking Prime Day

Another year, another Prime Day record.

This week’s two-day “parade of deals” marked the largest shopping event in Amazon history, according to the company.

From July 15 to 16, sales surpassed the previous Black Friday and Cyber Monday combined, counting more than 175 million items purchased throughout the event.

Prime Day, which promises exclusive deals for subscribers, was also a hit with Amazon devices; top-selling deals globally include Echo Dot, Fire TV Stick with Alexa Voice Remote, and Fire TV Stick 4K with Alexa Voice Remote.

“We want to thank Prime members all around the world,” CEO Jeff Bezos said in a statement.

“Members purchased millions of Alexa-enabled devices, received tens of millions of dollars in savings by shopping from Whole Foods Market, and bought more than $2 billion of products from independent small and medium-sized businesses,” he boasted. “Huge thank you to Amazonians everywhere who made this day possible for customers.”

I mean, maybe not the warehouse workers in Minnesota, who planned to strike during the shopping extravaganza.

Employees at a Shakopee fulfillment center arranged a six-hour work stoppage on July 15—day one of the retail giant’s 48-hour summer sale.

Ultimately, Prime members in 18 countries saved more than $1 billion on millions of items shipped in one day or less (making this the fastest-ever Prime Day).

Amazon also welcomed more new Prime members on July 15 than any previous day (ever), and almost as many on July 16.

In the US alone, folks purchased more than 100,000 lunchboxes, 100,000 laptops, 200,000 TVs, 300,000 headphones, 350,000 luxury beauty products, 400,000 pet products, 650,000 household cleaning supplies, and more than 1 million toys.

As part of the company’s 20th anniversary, Amazon launched Prime Day in 2015, hoping to entice buyers with discount prices on a scale you’d expect to see only around the holidays.

The inaugural event—a mix of “Deals of the Day” and “Lightning Deals”—lasted 24 hours. Prime Day 2017 boasted 30 hours of deals, and last year, Prime members had a record 36 hours to shop.

At this rate, the 2024 affair will last all week.

Amazon Prime Day 2019 Promises 48 Hours of Deals

Next month’s Amazon Prime Day 2019 will be a two-day parade of deals.

The annual sale kicks off at midnight PT on Monday, July 15, and—for the first time ever—runs for a full 48 hours.

Subscribers have two days to shop more than 1 million deals, including limited-time offers and exclusive launches. (I am most looking forward to stocking up on discounted Alexa-enabled devices.)

“Get ready, as we pull back the curtain to reveal exclusive products, special performances, and two full days of phenomenal deals this Prime Day,” Jeff Wilke, CEO of worldwide consumer at Amazon, said in a statement.

Mark-downs apply to Prime members the world over: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Mexico, the Netherlands, Singapore, Spain, the United Arab Emirates (new this year), the UK, and the US.

To participate, sign up online to join Prime or start a 30-day free trial.

“Our vision is that Prime Day should be the absolute best time to be a member,” Wilke said. “When you can enjoy shopping, savings, entertainment, and some of the best deals Prime members have ever seen.”

Whether you brazenly browse on the office computer, hide your habits in a bathroom stall, or take a “sick day” to stay home and spend money, Amazon encourages buyers to remain alert.

You don’t have to wait three weeks for the deals roll in, though.

Starting today, Prime members can save $120 on a Toshiba HD 43-inch Fire TV Edition Smart TV—now only $179.99 (through June 30, or while supplies last).

Also available now: Alexa-compatible Jabra Elite85h wireless headphones with SmartSound and the iOttie Easy One Touch Connect smartphone car mount.

Plus, members can gear up for Prime Day in-home deliveries with 40 percent off the Key for Garage myQ Smart Garage Hub + Amazon Cloud Cam (Key Edition) kit, on sale for the reasonable price of $99.98.

As part of the company’s 20th anniversary, Amazon launched Prime Day in 2015, hoping to entice buyers with discount prices on a scale you’d expect to see only on Black Friday.

The inaugural event—a mix of “Deals of the Day” and “Lightning Deals”—lasted 24 hours. Prime Day 2017 boasted 30 hours of deals for techies, beauty fans, gamers, kids, home chefs, bookworms, fitness buffs, DIYers, sports enthusiasts, and other stereotypes.

Last year, Prime members had a record 36 hours to shop.

At this rate, the 2024 affair will last all week.

“Stay tuned as we reveal exclusive savings at Whole Foods Market, thousands of new product launches, as well as world-class entertainment and more, leading up to Prime Day,” Wilke said.
